Fader On Mobile Browsers – A Status Update

UPDATE: Video has returned on mobile platforms on iPhones with iOS 11.3+ Patience is a virtue. Currently, the most recent update for Chrome 65 (65.0.3325.109) for Android browsers is being rolled out. Unfortunately, this release introduced a bug for WebVR sites. Fader is affected by it, too. At least for now. The symptoms are: very slow vertical rotation and no horizontal rotation. This is a bummer, since we know our users would like to enjoy Fader stories on their phones, not just

Fader

We’ve been working on Fader for a few months now. So what do we aim for with Fader? It all

Coming full circle at this year’s Techraking event in Berlin

Wow, it has already been one year since we last attended a Techraking event in Berlin. Last year, the event actually inspired us to start VRagments, so it was a big deal to us. Since then, we’ve been to a few more Techraking events, one in Paris and one in D.C. The event in Paris was exciting because we got to talk about our ideas for the first time in public. Berlin-based @VRagments working with @CIROnline@TreyBundy on #Fader: A VR tool for

As a co-founder of The Good Evil, Marcus has been highly engaged in the contemporary digital culture discussing controversial issues evolving around reality, immersion and the electronic superhighway. Adding Social Media into VR?

Over the past months, we have seen numerous examples of VR storytelling approaches – be it 360 video or in CGI (for updates, follow us on Twitter or check out our weeknotes – we try to keep you informed at all times). I am convinced that virtual reality can add value to news stories – or non-fictional storytelling in general for that matter. However, the production process still takes a long time, so publishing something in VR quickly and easily is
